For the second consecutive season, the Cleveland State men's tennis team will travel to Kentucky for a first round match in the NCAA Championship.

CHICAGO - The UIC women's tennis team will face No. 4 Michigan in the first round of the 2010 NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championship at the Varsity Tennis Center in Ann Arbor, Mich. on Friday, May 14, the NCAA announced on Tuesday, May 4.

The 2010 Horizon League Tennis Championships concluded Sunday, as the Cleveland State men and UIC women won League titles. 

The 2010 Tennis Championships continued indoors on Saturday as the rain persisted. In men's play, No. 2 UIC edged Wright State, 4-3, while No. 1 Cleveland State defeated Butler, 4-0. The Flames will face the Vikings on Sunday for the third straight year as CSU looks to grab its third consecutive title.

The Horizon League Men's and Women's Championships began on Friday and were moved indoors due to inclement weather. At the conclusion of the first round for the men, No. 3 Wright State edged No. 6 Detroit, 4-1, and No. 4 Butler knocked off No. 5 Green Bay, 4-1. The Raiders will face No. 2 UIC tomorrow morning, while the Bulldogs will take on top-seeded Cleveland State. Both matches will start at 10:30 a.m. ET.

Detroit senior Pjotrs Necajevs and UIC sophomore Mariya Kovaleva were recognized as the 2010 Horizon League Men's and Women's Tennis Players of the Year for the second straight season on Friday as the League announced this year's All-League teams and specialty award winners at a championship banquet.

The 2010 Horizon League Men's and Women's Tennis Championships start tomorrow at North Central High School in Indianapolis, Ind. Both men and women will be competing at 1 p.m. ET. 

UIC senior Sebastian Lystad and sophomore Mariya Kovaleva have been named Horizon League Tennis Players of the Week for the period of April 12-18.

The seeds and pairings for the 2010 Horizon League Men's and Women's Tennis Championships have been set, based upon final League standings.

Cleveland State junior John Haley and sophomore Catrine Bjerrehus have been named Horizon League Tennis Players of the Week for the period of April 5-11.
