INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Wright State University, one of 64 teams in the 2009 NCAA Baseball Championship after capturing its third Horizon League Tournament crown in school history, has earned a No. 4 seed in the Texas Christian University Regional.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Thirty three individuals have earned 2009 Horizon League baseball postseason honors. The list is highlighted by five specialty award winners -- Jeff Mercer (Player of the Year), Adam Worthington (Pitcher of the Year), Michael Schum (Relief Pitcher of the Year), Quentin Cate (Newcomer of the Year) and Scott Doffek (Coach of the Year).

INDIANAPOLIS -- University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee junior Tim Patzman and Cleveland State University sophomore Anthony Sambula have been named Horizon League Baseball Players of the Week for the period of May 11-17.

INDIANAPOLIS -- The University of Illinois at Chicago will be the top seed in the 2009 Horizon League Baseball Championship presented by U.S. Army after claiming its eighth straight regular-season title. The winner of the League's seven-team tournament earns an automatic berth into the 64-team NCAA Baseball Championship.
