An expected sellout at the ARC is expected to greet the semifinals of the Horizon League Men’s Basketball Championship, with rematches from last week on tap.

Thursday night began with only Green Bay knowing its seed in the upcoming Horizon League women’s basketball tournament, but that changed quickly as the night progressed and games went final. The top-six seeds are now set for the conference championship that begins Monday, March 5.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Valparaiso senior catcher Jordan Rutkowski (Alden, N.Y.) has been named Horizon League Softball Player of the Week, while Wright State sophomore Krystian DeWitt (Pacifica, Calif.) has earned Horizon League Softball Pitcher of the Week honors, for the week of Feb. 20-26.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Valparaiso junior Tanner Vavra and Milwaukee junior Cale Tassi have been named Horizon League Baseball Players of the Week for the period of Feb. 20-26. 

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Day One of the Horizon League Indoor Track and Field Championships were highlighted by five record-breaking performances.

VALPARAISO, Ind. – Playing without the burden of needing to win to satisfy a seed, Valparaiso raced out to a 16-2 lead and held off Butler throughout, closing the regular season with a 14-4 Horizon League record.

Three days’ worth of games are left in the Horizon League men’s basketball regular season. And with five teams within two games of one another, plenty is left to be decided as to whom will be playing where come Tuesday, Feb. 28 when the Horizon League Men’s Basketball Championship begins.

It was a night of high drama in the Horizon League. While Butler was celebrating its seniors, Valparaiso and Green Bay took wins in nail-biting fashion, with the Crusaders wrapping up the No. 1 seed  for the Horizon League Men’s Basketball Championship.

Between the preparation, covering every single lesson plan and actually taking the test, finals are typically a time of stress for college students. When it comes to securing the best possible seed for the Horizon League Men’s Basketball Championship, the final week of the regular season is no less stressful.
