Butler’s Matt Howard is the Male Scholar-Athlete for the second consecutive month and UIC’s Coryn Schmit is the Women’s Scholar-Athlete for the month of March.

As student-athletes know all too well, this time of year can be incredibly hectic. That's especially true for student-athletes competing in spring sports, as they try to end both their academic and athletic year — or career — on a high note.

This week I was unable to track down the winner of The People's Choice due to the aforementioned circumstances, but that doesn't mean she shouldn't still be recognized.
