Horizon League Men's Soccer Players of the Week (November 6)

INDIANAPOLIS – This week’s Horizon League Offensive Player of the week, Detroit Mercy forward Tyler Moorman netted two goals in the Titans’ defeat of Horizon League opponent, Cleveland State. Wright State goalkeeper Joel Sundell claims Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week by posting his sixth shutout this season against Horizon League opponent, IUPUI.

Moorman scored two goals in the final eight minutes of the match in a crucial 2-1 win at Cleveland State. The victory helped propel the Titans to the No. 6 seed in the #HLMSOC Champ. He scored off a PK in the 82nd minute and added another in the 86th minute at CSU. Moorman’s goals were his 10th and 11th goals of the season, Horizon League highs. His brace was the second of the season and he improved to 5-of-5 in penalty kicks. Moorman’s 11 goals and 24 points are the most for a Titan since the 2012 season.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK | JOEL SUNDELL | WRIGHT STATE | SOPHOMORE | GOALKEEPER | NORRKOPING, SWEDEN.
Joel picked up his sixth shutout of the season the team’s eighth overall in the 2-0 win against IUPUI Saturday night.  It was his eighth win of the season.  Joel made four saves in the victory which sealed the team’s fourth straight double-digit win season.  Joel has 51 saves on the season and has played more than 1,400 minutes.
