Youngstown State’s Lang and Green Bay’s Guyer Named Winter Scholar-Athletes of the Season April 09 Rachel White INDIANAPOLIS (April 9, 2026) – Youngstown State track & field junior Lukas Lang and Green Bay women’s basketball redshirt-senior Jenna Guyer have been selected as our Horizon League Winter Scholar-Athletes of the Season. Dig Deeper: Lang won the pole vault at the Horizon League Championships for the second straight year and also earned two athlete of the week honors this season. He is an Information Technology major at Youngstown State. Lang is a two-time member of the Valeo Indoor #HLTF All-Academic Team. Guyer was named the #HLWBB Player of the Year while also collecting All-League First Team and All-Defensive Team honors. She is studying Human Biology at Green Bay and earned Valeo All-Academic Team recognition this season. Guyer also earned Key4Women MVP honors after leading the Phoenix to the League title. The Horizon League recognizes student-athletes at the conclusion of each of its three athletic seasons as the Scholar-Athlete of the Season. To be eligible for Scholar-Athlete of the Season consideration, a student-athlete must be a member of that sport’s current year all-academic team. Honorees are selected based on a combination of athletic and academic achievement by the League’s faculty athletics representatives.
