Sophomore Janna Swopshire hit the go-ahead basket with just 4.9 seconds remaining as the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's basketball pulled out a thrilling 73-72 victory over Cleveland State University Saturday at the Klotsche Center.

The UIC women's basketball team (7-16, 3-7) suffered a Horizon League road loss at Valparaiso (9-14, 4-6) on Saturday afternoon by a final score of 88-62 inside the Athletics Recreation Center. Four UIC players recorded double-digits with senior Taylor Foulks and junior Rachel Story leading the way with 14 points apiece. Freshman Marissa Grossfeld notched a career-high with 12 points as redshirt junior Katie Hannemann chipped in 10.

Despite a career-high 14 points from Haley Schmitt and 24 from Shalonda Winton, the Cleveland State women's basketball team came up short at Milwaukee Saturday afternoon, falling to the Panthers 73-72.
