University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee standout Ricky Franklin earned a second workout with the Milwaukee Bucks today. Franklin, who also worked out for the team on June 3, was joined by a stellar group of players. Three of the six were pegged as possible first-round picks by Bucks Director of Scouting Billy McKinney, including Devin Ebanks of West Virginia, Damion James of Texas and Quincy Pondexter of Washington. Marqus Blakely of Vermont and Aubrey Coleman of Houston also joined Franklin at the workout. Franklin, a Milwaukee native, earned All-Horizon League Second Team honors for the Panthers this past season. The point guard started every game, leading UWM in scoring and three-pointers made while standing second in rebounds. In the process, he helped Milwaukee to just the 10th 20-win season in school history.

Junior Jayme Sukowaty allowed just three hits and one run in a complete-game effort, but came up on the wrong side of a 1-0 decision as the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee baseball team dropped a heartbreaker to Wright State University Friday night at the Horizon League Tournament. The Panthers (30-24) and Raiders (31-23) were locked in a pitcher's dual all game at the U.S. Steel Yard, as the two hurlers combined for 17 strikeouts, no walks and just nine total hits allowed. Sukowaty's counterpart, Casey Henn, was just as brilliant, setting a new league tournament record by striking out 14 batters while also throwing a complete game.
