Joel Barnhill is Assistant Commissioner for Sales and Marketing at the Horizon League. Horizon League I was formulating in my mind what to say in this blog as Matt Segal (one of the New Guys) and I drove home from a Valpo site visit last Wednesday. My thoughts literally came to a screeching halt; however, when I looked up to see that Matt was attempting an Evel Knievel-like stunt to fit our car underneath a semi-truck! more

CSUs Chris Moore and BUs Matt Howard have each helped their teams to success in the Horizon League, which has surged to 11th in the country in conference RPI. Horizon League With the start of preseason practice less than a month away, Horizon League men's basketball has many reasons to be proud of its recent success. Butler has received most of the national attention during the past two seasons, but the entire League has enjoyed a recent track record of success and, last year, experienced one of its best overall seasons in a decade. more

Matt Segal is in his first year as Director of Communications at the Horizon League. Horizon League Let me start with a brief introduction since 99% of you don't know me. I spent the past 3 1/2 years as media relations manager of the Triple-A Indianapolis Indians. The experience was tremendous and so many of the people were awesome, but I was ready for a fresh environment and new set of challenges. more

Butler Universitys mascot costume is missing, and it is believed to have been stolen. Horizon League The Butler Bulldogs mascot costume has gone missing, and university officials believe it has been stolen! IndyStar.com reported the missing costume on Tuesday. Even with the $100 reward, there has been no news on the whereabouts of the mascot. more

Associate Commissioner for Compliance & Legal Affairs Stephanie Jarvis is a Northwestern grad with a law degree who watches Entourage. Quite a combination!
