INDIANAPOLIS — In the lone Horizon League men’s basketball contest on Sunday, Northern Kentucky held its home court versus Wilmington College, 93-65. Horizon League Preseason Player of the Year Drew McDonald was one of two Norse players to record a double-double, joining redshirt junior Jeff Garrett. Monday’s Horizon League slate will feature five games, including four contests broadcast on ESPN3.

(Courtesy of NKUNorse.com) – HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky men's basketball team coasted to a 93-65 win over Wilmington on Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Norse improve to 2-0 on the season. Drew McDonald and Jeff Garrett each recorded a double-double. McDonald had 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Garrett contributed a career-high 13 points and 15 boards. This was the first time two NKU players had a double-double in a game since Dec. 5, 2015, when Lavone Holland II and Jalen Billups achieved the feat against Eastern Illinois. The Norse will play James Madison on Friday, Nov. 17 in the Islands of the Bahamas Showcase. Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET.
