INDIANAPOLIS — Horizon League Men’s Basketball posted a 4-1 overall record on Monday, highlighted by Milwaukee’s 74-56 road win versus 2017 NCAA Tournament qualifier Iowa State. IUPUI, Oakland, and Detroit Mercy each held home court in their respective victories, while UIC was bested by Saint Joseph’s in overtime.

Milwaukee hands Iowa State first home-opening loss in 20 years
Four Milwaukee players scored in double figures on Monday night as the Panthers earned a commanding, 74-56 road win at 2017 NCAA Tournament qualifier Iowa State. Milwaukee redshirt-junior guard Brock Stull led all scorers with 17 points in the win as Milwaukee extended a 39-32 halftime advantage into a victory by outscoring the Cyclones, 35-24, in the second half. Listed attendance for the contest — played in Iowa State's home of Ames, Iowa — was 13,853, just shy of Hilton Coliseum's capacity of 14,384.

Jags put up dominating effort in 75-43 win over Anderson

However, it was the manner in which head coach Jason Gardner's team took care of the task that helped him give a sign of relief and helped mentally erase an ugly season opening loss at Bradley. The Jaguars dominated from opening tip to the final horn, roaring past Anderson University in a 75-43 victory inside Indiana Farmers Coliseum.

Career night for Walker leads Oakland to 87-68 win over New Orleans

The 10 made field goals by Walker was a career high as was his six three-pointers, while he matched a career high seven rebounds.
