INDIANAPOLIS — Green Bay and UIC each earned victories on Wednesday as seven Horizon League teams were action. Khalil Small led Green Bay with a game-high 20 points to help lead the Phoenix to a narrow, 59-57 victory over visiting Eastern Illinois. Meanwhile, UIC’s Dikembe Dixon posted a game-best 17 points in the Flames’ 76-48 win over Wisconsin-Parkside.

YPSILANTI, Mich. — Jalen Hayes recorded his fourth straight double-double by recording a season high 21 points to go with 10 rebounds and five assists as the Oakland men's basketball team fell to Eastern Michigan 95-89 Wednesday night at the Convocation Center. Hayes now has 30 career double-doubles which ties him for third all-time in program history.

Jaguars can't overcome hot shooting, fall to SIUE, 82-81

INDIANAPOLIS — For the third straight game, the IUPUI men's basketball dropped a high scoring affair to their opponent. The Jaguars couldn't contain a hot shooting SIU Edwardsville (2-6) team and lost at home, 82-81. The loss dropped the Jaguars record to 2-5, and was their first home loss of the season.

Titans fall on buzzer-beat to Toledo

DETROIT — The University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball team erased a 13-point second half deficit against visiting Toledo, tying the game on a pair of Josh McFolley free throws with 2.6 seconds left but the Rockets hit a buzzer-beater to escape with an 89-86 win at Calihan Hall.

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. — The Northern Kentucky men's basketball team fell to ETSU on Wednesday evening by a final score of 84-71. The Norse drop to 6-3 on the year, while the Bucs improve to 5-3. This was the second matchup between the two teams this season. NKU won the first game at BB&T Arena on Nov. 10 by a score of 81-63.

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Sukhjot Bains chose the perfect moment for his career-high 10 points, scoring a driving layup with 17.5 seconds left to give Green Bay the 59-57 comeback victory over Eastern Illinois at the Resch Center on Wednesday night. The Phoenix (3-4) didn't get its first lead in the second half until that game-winner by Bains, and trailed by as many as 18 points to the visiting Panthers (2-6).
