INDIANAPOLIS- Green Bay senior guard Allie LeClaire posted 28 points on 66.7 % shooting and collected five steals on Saturday as the Phoenix downed Milwaukee, 52-29, to improve to 2-1 in league play. LeClaire is the Horizon League Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. IUPUI’s Macee Williams averaged a double-double this week as the Jags improved to 3-0 in league play with road wins at Cleveland State and Youngstown State, earning Williams Freshman of the Week recognition for the fourth time this season.

Allie LeClaire led Green Bay with a season-high 28 points on Saturday afternoon as the Phoenix defeated in-state rival Milwaukee at home, 52-29. LeClaire finished 10-for-15 from the field combined with a 5-for-9 mark from beyond the arc. The guard also doled out three assists, grabbed two rebounds and swiped five steals in 30 minutes. The win improved Green Bay to 12-2 on the season and 2-1 in Horizon League play.

Macee Williams averaged a double-double in the Jags two games over the past week. The freshman posted 10.5 points per game and 10.5 rebounds per game in IUPUI’s wins over Cleveland State and Youngstown State. Against the Vikings, Williams scored 12 points and pulled down 11 boards while shooting 8-for-10 from the free throw line. Williams finished one point shy of another double-double, scoring nine points and grabbing 10 rebounds against Youngstown State. Williams finished the game against the Penguins 4-for-6 from the field and blocked career-high three shots, while also grabbing three steals. Williams shot 60 percent from the field and remains atop the Horizon League with a 68.1 FG %.
