NIT First Round – (7) Northern Kentucky 58, at (2) Louisville 66
 
(March 13, 2018) — Horizon League regular season champion Northern Kentucky led Louisville, 30-23, at halftime; however, the Norse were unable to stave off a second-half rally as NKU suffered a narrow, 66-58 setback in the opening round of the National Invitational Tournament on Tuesday night at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville. All-Horizon League First Team selection Drew McDonald notched his 18th double-double of the season with a 19-point, 13-rebound effort, while senior Lavone Holland II capped his stellar collegiate playing career with a 15-point performance.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Northern Kentucky men's basketball team fell to Louisville on Tuesday evening in the First Round of the NIT by a final score of 66-58. The Norse conclude the season at 22-10, while the Cardinals move to 21-13.
