INDIANAPOLIS —
Detroit Mercy and UIC clinched the top seeds on the men's and women's sides, respectively, for the upcoming 2018 #HLTennis Championships.

With a 7-0 win versus Wright State on Sunday, the Detroit Mercy men's team finished its conference campaign at 6-1, sharing the top spot in the league standings with Cleveland State. The Titans owned the tiebreaker versus Cleveland State, having defeated the Vikings, 4-3, in Detroit on April 7.

Meanwhile, the UIC women's team controlled its own destiny, entering the weekend as one of three teams with just one league setback, along with Youngstown State and Cleveland State. To secure the tournament's No. 1 seed, the Flames bested Youngstown State, 5-2, on Saturday, before downing Cleveland State, 7-0, on Sunday.
