2018 Horizon League Spring Academic Honor Roll
INDIANAPOLIS – 988 Horizon League student-athletes achieved Horizon League Academic Honor Roll distinction for the Spring 2018 semester with all ten member institutions and 19 Horizon League sponsored sports represented. Oakland led the League with 142 student-athletes, while Milwaukee placed 113 student-athletes on the list.
Candidates for the Honor Roll must meet three criteria in order to qualify:
1) Participation in at least one of the League’s 19 sports during the most recent (or current) season.
2) Completion of three semesters (or four quarters, where applicable) as a full-time student at the same member institution.
3) A cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale).
For the tenth consecutive semester, Oakland leads the Horizon League with 142 student-athletes on the Honor Roll. Milwaukee was second with 113 student-athletes. IUPUI (103) and Green Bay (102) also reached triple digits in honorees.
By sport, women’s track and field/cross country once again led the League with 137 student-athletes meeting the qualifications, while women’s soccer boasted 129 student-athletes on the Honor Roll.
