INDIANAPOLIS – During week four of #HLWBB play, Green Bay, Milwaukee, and Youngstown State went 2-0, while IUPUI won its lone contest. The Phoenix and Wright State are tied at the top of the standings with 6-1 records.
#HLWBB NEWS & NOTES
• Green Bay is allowing opponents to score just 55.2 points per game, which ranks 16th in the country. Youngstown State is 22nd, giving up 56.2 points per game this season.
• Wright State ranks seventh in the country in rebounds as the Raiders have pulled down 819 boards this season. WSU is 24th nationally with 43.11 rebounds per game.
• Youngstown State and Cleveland State both rank in the top 25 nationally in defensive rebounds per game. The Penguins average 29.4, while the Vikings post 29.3 defensive rebounds per game. The two teams face off Saturday at YSU.
• Green Bay has won five straight League contests and Milwaukee is on a four-game winning streak.
• UIC’s Jada Nneji is now third in the NCAA in blocked shots with 57 total blocks this season.
• YSU’s Alison Smolinski ranks fifth nationally with 65 three-point field goals made this season.
• IUPUI’s Macee Williams continues to lead #HLWBB with 18.7 points per game and is third with 7.9 rebounds per game.
• YSU boasts the 18th best field-goal percentage defense as opponents are only shooting 35.1 percent against the Penguins. YSU is also ranked sixth nationally in personal fouls per game (13.1).
• Cleveland State freshman Savanna Crockett leads the League in rebounding, hauling in 9.2 rebounds per game.
