INDIANAPOLIS – Northern Kentucky stayed on top of the #HLMBB standings with a convincing win on Thursday, while IUPUI, Wright State and UIC all picked up victories to start Week 5 of the HL season.

IUPUI climbed back to .500 in #HLMBB play with a two-point win in a Thursday matinee game against the Golden Grizzlies. D.J. McCall scored 18 points with nine rebounds to lead the Jags, while Camron Justice also added 18 points and Evan Hall and Elyjah Goss each tallied double-digit rebounds. Oakland’s Tray Maddox Jr. finished with a game-high 21 points on four 3-pointers and Jaevin Cumberland scored 18.

Northern Kentucky 87, Green Bay 65
The Norse improved to 12-0 at home and 7-1 in HL play on Thursday after an 87-65 win over Green Bay. Chris Vogt had a career night for NKU with 20 points and 14 rebounds and Dantez Walton added 17 points and six assists as Northern Kentucky as a team shot over 52 percent from the floor. Green Bay was led by Sandy Cohen III with 19 points and nine rebounds.

Wright State 56, Milwaukee 54
WSU moved its winning streak to three games on Thursday after grinding out a 56-54 win over Milwaukee at home. Loudon Love has one of his best performances of the season with 21 points and 12 rebounds, while freshman Skyelar Potter added 10 points and six rebounds. MKE’s Darius Roy finished with 15 points, six rebounds and four assists with Jake Wright registering 14 points on four triples.

UIC 79, Detroit Mercy 67
UIC pulled back to .500 in HL play on Thursday with a win at home over Detroit Mercy 79-67. Jordan Blount picked up a double-double for the Flames with 19 points and 10 rebounds to go along with 14 points by Marcus Ottey. Detroit Mercy has dropped two in a row for the first time during League play as Antoine Davis finished with 28 points on five 3-pointers

MOTOR CITY MADNESS
The 2019 Little Caesars Horizon League Basketball Championships will begin March 5-6 and will culminate with the semifinal and championship games on March 11-12 at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena. The 2019 men’s and women’s championship games will take place on Tuesday, March 12 with the men playing at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN or ESPN2 and the women starting at noon ET on ESPNU. Tickets for the semifinals and championship go on-sale on February 1. Once quarterfinal games conclude on March 5 and 6, fan section information for participating teams will be announced.
