Northern Kentucky 68, Detroit Mercy 56
Northern Kentucky earned its third League win on Friday, topping Detroit Mercy 68-56 at home. Taylor Clos led the way for the Norse offensively, totaling 19 points, while three others scored in double figures for NKU. Detroit Mercy’s Brittney Jackson led all scorers with 20 points in the contest and Zoey Oatis added 12 points for the Titans.
Wright State 69, Oakland 58
Wright State improved to 7-1 in #HLWBB play with a 69-58 home victory over Oakland on Friday night. Mackenzie Taylor led the Raiders with 19 points while Symone Simmons pulled down 16 rebounds to keep the Raiders tied for the top spot in the standings. LaKyesha Stennis posted 16 points to lead the Golden Grizzlies.

MOTOR CITY MADNESS
The 2019 Little Caesars Horizon League Basketball Championships will begin March 5-6 and will culminate with the semifinal and championship games on March 11-12 at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena. The 2019 men’s and women’s championship games will take place on Tuesday, March 12 with the men playing at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN or ESPN2 and the women starting at noon ET on ESPNU. Tickets for the semifinals and championship go on-sale on February 1. Once quarterfinal games conclude on March 5 and 6, fan section information for participating teams will be announced.
