INDIANAPOLIS – Green Bay remains the only undefeated team in #HLMBB play after hitting the game-winner as time expired on Saturday. Northern Kentucky, Wright State and Youngstown State also picked up wins to cap of the second week of League action.

The Phoenix improved to 3-0 in #HLMBB play on Saturday as Sandy Cohen III scored 30 points including the game-winning jumper as time expired to go along with seven rebounds and six assists. Green Bay’s JayQuan McCloud added 25 points with three 3-pointers. The Vikings were led by Tyree Appleby with 27 points and seven assists, while Rashad Williams hit five triples for CSU.

Northern Kentucky 95, Detroit Mercy 73
The Norse got back to their winnings ways on Saturday to improve to 3-1 in League play as six NKU players finished in double figures led by Drew McDonald and Tyler Sharpe with 23 and 20, respectively. Detroit Mercy’s freshman sensation Antoine Davis followed up Thursday’s 48-point performance with 33 points today on 13 field goals as the Titans dropped their first #HLMBB game this season.

Wright State 89, Oakland 73
WSU got back to .500 in #HLMBB play on Saturday after picking up a road win at Oakland on Saturday. Cole Gentry went 8-for-11 from the floor, including hitting four 3-pointers, while Loudon Love and Billy Wampler each added 19 points. The Golden Grizzlies suffered its first loss in League play as Jaevin Cumberland hit six triples to register 26 and Xavier Hill-Mais scored 16 points.

Youngstown State 76, Milwaukee 51
The Penguins picked up their first #HLMBB win of the year behind a balanced attack as Garrett Covington scored 15 points, followed by Jelani Simmons and Darius Quisenberry each tallying 12 points. The Panthers were led by Darius Roy with 11 points and four rebounds.

MOTOR CITY MADNESS
The 2019 Little Caesars Horizon League Basketball Championships will begin March 5-6 and will culminate with the semifinal and championship games on March 11-12 at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena. The 2019 men’s and women’s championship games will take place on Tuesday, March 12 with the men playing at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN or ESPN2 and the women starting at noon ET on ESPNU. Tickets for the semifinals and championship go on-sale on February 1. Once quarterfinal games conclude on March 5 and 6, fan section information for participating teams will be announced.
