Nike #HLWBB Players of the Week (December 16)
INDIANAPOLIS – Cleveland State’s Mariah Miller is the Nike® #HLWBB Player of the Week after helping the Vikings extend their win streak to nine games, posting 18 points in a road win at Omaha. Detroit Mercy’s Bridgid Fox earned her first Nike® Freshman of the Week honor, scoring 14 points and adding nine rebounds against Toledo on Saturday.

Mariah Miller helped Cleveland State pick up its ninth straight win with a 79-66 decision at Omaha, improving to 9-1 this season. The 9-1 start to the campaign is a program-best, while the nine straight wins ties the program record for consecutive wins. She finished with a team-high 18 points against Omaha, marking her ninth 15+ point game of the year and also grabbed five rebounds, one block and one steal on the game. For the season, she is averaging 21.9 points which leads the Horizon League.

Bridgid Fox nearly had her first career double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds in a home contest against Toledo on Saturday. Fox’s 14 points and nine rebounds were both career highs and she shot 54 percent from the floor (6-for-11) in the game. Five of her rebounds were on the offensive end and she also had two assists and one block in her second career start. It was her second career double figure scoring effort in her first 10 collegiate games.
