INDIANAPOLIS – The first week of the #HLMBB season wrapped up on Monday with Wright State and Youngstown State each improving to 2-0 in HL play, while Cleveland State and Green Bay picked up their first wins.

GAME RECAPS
Youngstown State 70, UIC 64
- Three Penguins scored in double figures led by Darius Quisenberry with 20, his third straight 20-point performance, while posted another double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
- UIC was led offensively by Godwin Boahen with 15 points off the bench and Braelen Bridges added 10.
- YSU narrowly outrebounded UIC 37-33, while holding slim advantages in points in the paint, 34-30, and points off turnovers, 21-15.
- It marks the second year in a row that Youngstown State has started the #HLMBB season 2-0.
Wright State 82, Milwaukee 70
- The Raiders had five players finish with double-digit points led by Bill Wampler with 17 points on five triples and Loudon Love nearly collecting a double-double with 16 points and nine boards.
- Milwaukee’s Darius Roy scored a team-high 13 points and DeAndre Abram added 12.
- WSU shot 53.6 percent from the floor and 57.9 percent from 3-point range.
- Wright State begins HL play 2-0 for the second time in three seasons.
Cleveland State 82, IUPUI 80
- Cleveland State’s Tre Gomillion tipped in the game-winning lay-up as time expired to give the Vikings the win.
- CSU had five players score in double figures with Craig Beaudion leading the way with 15, followed by Gomillion and Torrey Patton with 14.
- Jaylen Minnett scored a game-high 23 points for IUPUI with seven 3-pointers, including hitting a game-tying triple with 8.8 seconds in regulation. Marcus Burk added 19 points for the Jags.
- Both teams shot over 50 percent from the floor, but the Vikings shot 53.8 percent from long range, while the Jags shot just 39.1 percent.
Green Bay 73, Northern Kentucky 59
- PJ Pipes scored a career-high 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the floor, while Manny Patterson added 15 points and 10 rebounds and JayQuan McCloud tallied 13.
- Northern Kentucky’s Jalen Tate recorded a team-best 11 points and Trevon Faulkner registered 10 points. Every Norse player that played scored at least two points.
- The Phoenix held the Norse to just 19.2 percent shooting from 3-point range.
- The win by GB snaps a 5-game winning streak in the series by NKU.
Gonzaga 93, Detroit Mercy 72
- Antoine Davis scored 31 points with five 3-pointers for his fourth 30-point game this season.
- Justin Miller added 17 points, while Chris Brandon added a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
- This game marks the sixth time for the Titans against the No. 1 ranked team in the country.

HORIZON LEAGUE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2020 Horizon League Basketball Championships will begin March 3 and 5 at campus sites and eight teams – four men and four women – will look to advance to Indianapolis and #REACHtheHORIZON on March 9-10 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum.
Every game of the tournament will be carried on ESPN networks and four of the six games in Indianapolis will appear on national television.
