INDIANAPOLIS – Wright State earned a huge home win over rival Northern Kentucky on Friday night in front of a national TV audience on ESPNU and have now pulled into a tie for first place in the #HLMBB standings.

The Raiders improved to 10-4 in Horizon League play on Friday night with an 81-77 win over the Norse to pull into a tie for first place. Wright State trailed at halftime by five points, but outscored NKU 37-28 in the second half to move to 12-2 at home. Bill Wampler had one of his best games in a WSU uniform as he finished with 29 points on 10-of-14 shooting with four 3-pointers. Loudon Love also had a big game for the Raiders as he registered a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Drew McDonald led the way for the Norse with 23 points and nine rebounds, while Tyler Sharpe and Dantez Walton both added 16 points. Northern Kentucky is now 10-4 in #HLMBB play and has dropped three of its last five games.
