INDIANAPOLIS – Oakland’s Taylor Jones led the League in scoring, tied for the lead in assists per game, and ranked second in rebounding this week, averaging 25.5 points, 12.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists. Jones is the #HLWBB Nike® Player of the Week. Detroit Mercy freshman Sophia DiMilia averaged 15.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.0 block per game to earn #HLWBB Nike® Freshman of the Week honors for the first time.

Taylor Jones averaged 25.5 points, 12.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists shooting 20-for-36 (55.6%) from the field and 3-for-7 from 3-point range (42.9%) with two double-doubles against IUPUI and UIC over the weekend. Jones posted her sixth double-double of the season with a career-high 28 points on 11-of-19 shooting while grabbing 10 rebounds with three assists and two steals as Oakland came up short in the upset bid against IUPUI. She followed that performance with her seventh double-double scoring a game-high 23 points while grabbing 14 rebounds and dishing out nine assists to just miss recording her second triple-double of the season while leading Oakland to a win over UIC.

Sophia DiMilia led the Titans in scoring in both games this past weekend, averaging 15.0 points per game. She scored a career-best 21 points, hitting four 3-pointers, in a 62-45 victory over UIC on Thursday night. DiMilia added five rebounds, three steals and a career-best three assists against the Flames before leading the Titans balanced scoring attack Saturday with nine points, adding a team-best six rebounds and two blocks, against IUPUI. On the week, DiMilia averaged 15.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per game.
