INDIANAPOLIS – Northern Kentucky, Wright State, Green Bay, and Milwaukee earned wins to start the final week of #HLWBB play as the Raiders clinched the #MotorCityMadness number one seed and at least a share of the regular season title.

Northern Kentucky 74, Oakland 63
Northern Kentucky earned its ninth League win on Thursday afternoon, topping Oakland 74-63 at the O’Rena. Freshman Ally Niece led the Norse with 16 points, seven assists, and seven rebounds while three other NKU players scored in double figures. Kahlaijah Dean was the leading scorer for the Golden Grizzlies with 17 points. Oakland clinched the #MotorCityMadness number eight seed following tonight’s action.

Wright State 76, Detroit Mercy 73
Wright State improved to 15-2 in #HLWBB play on Thursday, topping Detroit Mercy 76-73, while also clinching the number one seed for #MotorCityMadness and earning at least a share of the regular season title. Freshman Angel Baker led the Raiders with 20 points in the road victory and Symone Simmons collected 17 rebounds for WSU. Detroit Mercy freshman Paige Bellman posted a double-double for the Titans, totaling 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Green Bay 45, IUPUI 43
Green Bay is now 14-3 in #HLWBB play after a 45-43 road win at IUPUI on Thursday, securing the #MotorCityMadness number two seed. Jen Wellnitz led the Phoenix in scoring, totaling 13 points in the victory as Laken James totaled nine rebounds. Katelyn O’Reilly posted a double-double for the Jags with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Milwaukee 48, UIC 37
Milwaukee earned its tenth #HLWBB victory on Thursday at UIC, defeating the Flames, 48-37. Jamie Reit scored 15 points to lead the Panthers, while Megan Walstad added ten points. Ryaen Johnson totaled 11 rebounds and six blocks for MKE. Tylah Lampley led the Flames with 15 points in the loss, adding six rebounds as well.

MOTOR CITY MADNESS
The 2019 Little Caesars Horizon League Basketball Championships will begin March 5-6 at highest seeds and will culminate with the semifinal and championship games on March 11-12 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. Tickets for the semifinals and championship are on-sale now. Once quarterfinal games conclude on March 5 and 6, fan section information for participating teams will be announced.
