INDIANAPOLIS – Cleveland State sophomore Mariah White averaged 23 points, six assists, and four steals in two wins this week for the Vikings. White is the #HLWBB Nike® Player of the Week. Oakland freshman Kahlaijah Dean averaged 26.0 points, shooting 64 percent from the field for the Golden Grizzlies this week. Dean is the #HLWBB Nike® Freshman of the Week for the first time.

Mariah White averaged 23.0 points, 6.0 assists & 4.0 steals per game in a pair of wins against Detroit Mercy and Oakland. The sophomore tallied 17 points, career-high tying five steals and a career-high seven assists against Detroit Mercy and followed that up with a career-high 29-point performance against Oakland, including six of the final 10 CSU points of the game to clinch the win for the Vikings. White recorded five assists and three steals against Oakland, finishing the weekend with a .667 clip from the floor, including a .722 clip from the floor against Oakland when she shot 13-for-18 from the field.

Dean averaged 26.0 points shooting 20-for-31 (64.5%) from the field and 9-for-17 from 3-point range (52.9%) against Youngstown State and Cleveland State over the weekend. Against YSU, Dean poured in a career-high 29 points with career marks in field goals shooting a blistering 12-for-18 from the field and 3-pointers hitting 5-for-9 with six rebounds. She followed that performance with a team-high 23 points going 8-for-13 from the field, 4-for-8 from behind the arc and 3-for-3 from the charity stripe with a game-high five steals at CSU.
