INDIANAPOLIS – Wright State won the men’s golf championship and three other regular-season titles to win the 2018-19 Men’s All-Sports Trophy, while Milwaukee captured the women’s soccer and women’s cross country crowns to win the Horizon League’s Women’s All-Sports Title, announced the League office on Monday.

The Raiders claim their first-ever Men’s All-Sports Title since the awards inception during the 2006-07 season. WSU men’s golf won its first HL title since 2004 after trailing by four strokes entering the final round. In addition, the Wright State men’s soccer team and baseball team won outright regular season championships, while the men’s basketball team captured a share of the regular season title for the first time since the 2006-07 season.

MKE collects its record-setting seventh Women’s All-Sports Trophy, but just its first since 2014. The Panthers had a strong fall season as women’s soccer won both the regular season and tournament titles for the first time since 2013, while the women’s cross country team won its first-ever championship. The track and field teams had strong performances as well finishing runner-up at the outdoor championship and a third-place finish at the indoor championship. Milwaukee’s swimming and diving also earned a third-place finish at this year’s championship in Indianapolis.

The winner of this year’s McCafferty Trophy, awarded annually to a member institution compiling the greatest number of performance points based on its finish in the League’s 19 championship sports, will be announced on Tuesday at 1 p.m. ET along with complete McCafferty Trophy standings and point totals.
