Nike #HLWBB Players of the Week (January 13)
INDIANAPOLIS – For the second straight week and third time this season, IUPUI’s Macee Williams is the Nike® #HLWBB Player of the Week. Williams helped the Jags take sole possession of first place in the League standings, averaging 25 points and eight rebounds in the Jags’ two wins this week. Northern Kentucky’s Ivy Turner averaged 10.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists for the Norse to earn her second Nike® Freshman of the Week award.

Macee Williams was again a dominant force for IUPUI, finishing the week averaging 25 points and eight rebounds as IUPUI pushed its winning streak to five games after beating Northern Kentucky and Wright State. Williams shot 69% from the field and 77% from the free throw line in the two games, while also handing out six assists and grabbing five steals. Against Northern Kentucky, Williams scored 18 points and pulled down nine boards, going 8-for-10 from the field. In IUPUI’s win over Wright State Williams scored 32 points, her second 30-point game of the season, on 12-of-19 shooting and going 8-for-11 from the stripe.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK | IVY TURNER | NORTHERN KENTUCKY | FRESHMAN | GUARD | DANVILLE, KY.
Ivy Turner averaged 10.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game against IUPUI and UIC. The rookie guard led the Norse in scoring against the Jaguars with 12 points and then added nine in the win over UIC. Turner shot 50.0 percent from the floor throughout the two contests and had an impressive stat line against the Flames with nine points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals.
