1,047 STUDENT-ATHLETES ON FALL 2019 ACADEMIC HONOR ROLL
INDIANAPOLIS – 1,047 student-athletes achieved academic honor roll distinctions for the fall of 2019 semester with all ten members and 19 Horizon League sponsored sports represented.
Candidates for the Honor Roll must meet three criteria in order to qualify:
1) participation in at least one of the League’s 19 sports during the most recent (or current) season.
2) completion of three semesters (or four quarters, where applicable) as a full-time student at the same member institution.
3) a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale).
Milwaukee heads the list with 142 student-athletes on the academic honor roll. Oakland (125), IUPUI (118), Youngstown State (115), Northern Kentucky (110) and Cleveland State (102) reached triple digits in student-athletes being recognized. Sports with the most representation were women’s track and field/cross country with 158 student-athletes while women’s soccer had 135 members. Men’s soccer was the third highest group with 100 honorees.
