INDIANAPOLIS – Friday’s matchup saw the top two #HLMBB teams in the standings face off in a primetime matchup on ESPNU with Wright State picking up the win at home over Northern Kentucky.

  • With the win, Wright State finished the first half of the #HLMBB season 8-1.
  • Six WSU players scored in double figures led by Tanner Holden (20 points, 13 rebounds) and Loudon Love (16 points, 11 rebounds) each tallied double-doubles.
  • Northern Kentucky had three players finish with double-digit points as Tyler Sharpe scored a game-high 18 points. Jalen Tate and Bryson Langdon each registered 16 points.
  • The Raiders shot 61 percent (36-59) from the floor including 54.5 percent (12-22) from 3-point range against the third-best team in the country in defending the three coming into the game.

HORIZON LEAGUE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2020 Horizon League Basketball Championships will begin March 3 and 5 at campus sites and eight teams – four men and four women – will look to advance to Indianapolis and #REACHtheHORIZON on March 9-10 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum.

Every game of the tournament will be carried on ESPN networks and four of the six games in Indianapolis will appear on national television.
