INDIANAPOLIS – The first half of the #HLMBB season came to a close on Saturday with two overtime finishes as Youngstown State and IUPUI were victorious, while Detroit Mercy and Cleveland State won at home.

GAME RECAPS
Detroit Mercy 70, UIC 69
- The Titans went on a 9-2 run to end the game, including Alonde LeGrand hitting a baseline jumper with 0.3 seconds on the clock, to secure the one-point win.
- Marquis Moore scored a team-high 18 points for Detroit Mercy, while Chris Brandon added 15 points and eight boards.
- Braelen Bridges led the way for UIC nearly recording a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds.
- With the win, Detroit Mercy has won three out of its last four games and recorded its first weekend sweep during #HLMBB play.
Youngstown State 98, Green Bay 94 (OT)
- The Penguins avenged its first loss at Beeghly Center on Thursday with an overtime win to improve to 9-1 at home
- Five YSU players finished in double figures with Devin Morgan scoring 26 on six triples and Darius Quisenberry with 24 including the final six points in overtime.
- Green Bay’s JayQuan McCloud recorded his third 30-point performance of the season and also grabbed eight boards and handed out five assists.
- Both teams finish the first half of #HLMBB play 5-4 and in a tie for third place.
Cleveland State 70, Milwaukee 53
- The Vikings ended a four-game slide with a home win to improve to 4-5 in #HLMBB play.
- CSU had four players score in double-digits as Craig Beaudion led with 19 points on 10 free throws and Tre Gomillion chipped in 14.
- Darius Roy scored a team-high 11 points for Milwaukee, while Te’Jon Lucas and Josh Thomas both scored nine.
- Cleveland State shot 51.1 percent from the floor and held the Panthers to 25.4 percent shooting.
IUPUI 89, Oakland 85 (OT)
- IUPUI snapped a four-game losing streak and picked up its second #HLMBB road win.
- Marcus Burk scored 39 points, the most during HL play this season, on 8-of-15 shooting from long range. Jaylen Minnett tallied his second 30-point performance during League play as he finished with 30 points.
- Five Oakland players registered double-digit points as Xavier Hill-Mais ended with 20 points and Brad Brechting collected a double-double with 13 boards and 10 points.
- The Jags made a season-high 15 3-pointers and shot 44 percent from long range.

HORIZON LEAGUE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2020 Horizon League Basketball Championships will begin March 3 and 5 at campus sites and eight teams – four men and four women – will look to advance to Indianapolis and #REACHtheHORIZON on March 9-10 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum.
Every game of the tournament will be carried on ESPN networks and four of the six games in Indianapolis will appear on national television.
