INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI, Northern Kentucky, and Wright State each hit the halfway point of #HLWBB play with wins on Saturday afternoon.

GAME RECAPS
Northern Kentucky 72, Detroit Mercy 60
- Northern Kentucky earned its fifth League victory on Saturday, topping Detroit Mercy, 72-60. The Titans fell to 2-7 with the loss.
- The Norse held a one-point advantage following the first quarter and extended the lead to seven at the half. The next two quarters were tight as well with NKU edging Detroit Mercy by two in the third and three in the fourth to secure the home win.
- Carissa Garcia led NKU with 17 points while Molly Glick added 16 points and Ally Niece scored 11 points in the victory. Kailey Coffey was stellar on the boards, collecting 12 rebounds.
- Three Titan scored in double figures, highlighted by Maxine Moore’s 14 points.
Wright State 85, Oakland 66
- Wright State improved to 7-2 in League play with an 85-66 home triumph over Oakland (3-6) on Saturday afternoon at the Nutter Center.
- The Raiders gained an edge over the Golden Grizzlies in second chance points (22-11) and points off turnover (16-4).
- Angel Baker and Tyler Frierson totaled 16 points each with Frierson adding 13 rebounds for a double-double. Shamarre Hale (15 points) and Anisja Harris (11 points) also scored in double figures for WSU.
- Kahlaijah Dean scored 22 points and added 10 rebounds off the bench to lead Oakland.
IUPUI 88, UIC 49
- League-leading IUPUI (8-1) earned an 88-49 road win at UIC (1-8) on Saturday to close out the first half of #HLWBB play for both teams.
- The Jags’ offense shot 53 percent from the field and 45 percent from three-point range, while the defense held the Flames to 37 percent overall and 22 percent from three.
- Five IUPUI players posted double digit scoring efforts, led by 17 from Natalie Anderson and 15 from Holly Hoopingarner.
- UIC was paced by Tiana Jackson’s 14 points in the loss.

HORIZON LEAGUE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2020 Horizon League Basketball Championships will begin March 3 and 5 at campus sites and eight teams – four men and four women – will look to advance to Indianapolis and #REACHtheHORIZON on March 9-10 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum.
Every game of the tournament will be carried on ESPN networks and four of the six games in Indianapolis will appear on national television.
