INDIANAPOLIS – The second week of #HLMBB play tipped off tonight with Wright State staying undefeated, while Detroit Mercy and Milwaukee each picked up their first #HLMBB wins.

GAME RECAPS
Wright State 96, Oakland 69
- The Raiders tied a season-high in points as five players scored in double-digits led by Billy Wampler with 21 points, while Jaylon Hall added 16.
- Oakland’s Tray Maddox and Xavier Hill-Mais scored a team-high 14 points.
- WSU shot 57.1 percent from the floor and 47.4 percent from 3-point range.
- Wright State is now riding a six-game winning streak.
Detroit Mercy 66, Northern Kentucky 58
- Detroit Mercy earned its first win in HL play as Justin Miller recorded a game-high 18 points with five assists as the Horizon League’s leading scorer, Antoine Davis, tallied 17 points with three triples.
- Northern Kentucky’s Adham Eleeda registered a team-best 14 points on four 3-pointers and Trevon Faulkner tallied 13.
- The Titans held NKU to 33.3 percent shooting from the floor and 26.9 percent from 3-point range.
- Detroit Mercy outscored the Norse 38-20 in the paint and 23-14 in points off turnovers.
Green Bay 85, UIC 71
- The Phoenix won their second-straight #HLMBB game as freshman Amari Davis led five GB players in double-figures with 21 points, while JayQuan McCloud and Cody Schwartz tallied 13 each.
- UIC’s Tarkus Ferguson led the way for the Flames with 19 points and Marcus Ottey scored 17.
- Green Bay outscored UIC 52-40 in the second half after holding just a two-point advantage heading into halftime
- The Phoenix went 23-for-26 from the free throw line (88 percent) compared to 9-for-18 (50 percent) by the Flames.
Milwaukee 78, IUPUI 74
- Milwaukee picked up its first win of the League season as the Panthers went on a 7-0 run over the last two minutes of the game to secure the win.
- Josh Thomas scored a team-high 13 points for MKE on 6-of-8 shooting and Arturro Bingham hit four 3-pointers.
- Elyjah Goss of IUPUI tallied his second double-double of HL play with 19 points and 16 rebounds and Jaylen Minnett registered 18 points.
- Milwaukee held a 22-4 advantage in fastbreak points.

HORIZON LEAGUE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2020 Horizon League Basketball Championships will begin March 3 and 5 at campus sites and eight teams – four men and four women – will look to advance to Indianapolis and #REACHtheHORIZON on March 9-10 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum.
Every game of the tournament will be carried on ESPN networks and four of the six games in Indianapolis will appear on national television.
