INDIANAPOLIS – The road teams were dominant on Friday night as Northern Kentucky, Oakland and Wright State each earned wins away from home.

Oakland 77, Detroit Mercy 64
  • Oakland snapped a four-game losing streak and swept the season series vs. the Titans.
  • Rashad Williams finished with 37 points for Oakland on seven made 3-pointers and shot 14-for-15 from the free-throw line. The 37 points is the most scored by an Oakland player this season and are the most scored during HL play this season in regulation.
  • Detroit Mercy had three players finish in double figures led by Antoine Davis with 26 points and added six assists.
  • Oakland extends its winning streak over Detroit Mercy to seven games.
Wright State 65, Milwaukee 61
  • In a defensive battle, WSU was able to pull out a win and improve to 9-1 in HL play despite Milwaukee holding the Raiders to 16 points below their season average.
  • Loudon Love recorded his sixth double-double during Horizon League play for Wright State with 16 points and 13 rebounds and Bill Wampler scored a game-high 19 points.
  • Te’Jon Lucas led the way for the Panthers with 18 points, six rebounds and four assists.  
  • Neither team shot over 20 percent from behind the 3-point line as they combined to shoot 5-for-31 from long range.
Northern Kentucky 71, Green Bay 62
  • Northern Kentucky used a second-half surge to improve to 7-3 in #HLMBB play and split the season series with Green Bay.
  • Bryson Langdon hit five triples to lead the Norse with a season-high 22 points. Jalen Tate and the returning Dantez Walton each registered their first double-doubles of the HL season.
  • Green Bay’s Amari Davis scored a team-high 14 points and JayQuan McCloud nearly finished with a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.  
  • Trailing by six in the middle of the second half, NKU went on a 15-0 run to take a nine-point lead as Walton and Langdon both hit a pair of triples during the stretch.

HORIZON LEAGUE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2020 Horizon League Basketball Championships will begin March 3 and 5 at campus sites and eight teams – four men and four women – will look to advance to Indianapolis and #REACHtheHORIZON on March 9-10 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum.

Every game of the tournament will be carried on ESPN networks and four of the six games in Indianapolis will appear on national television.
