INDIANAPOLIS – Week 2 of the #HLMBB season ended on Sunday with Wright State remaining undefeated at 4-0 in a close game, Milwaukee winning at the buzzer, Northern Kentucky getting back to .500 in HL play and IUPUI shooting well from deep to collect its first win in League play

Wright State 70, Detroit Mercy 69
  • WSU remains undefeated with a last-second victory thanks to a Jaylon Hall victory with 16 seconds left in regulation.
  • Loudon Love recorded a double-double for the Raiders with 23 points and a career-high 20 rebounds, including 15 points and 13 rebounds in the second half.
  • Detroit Mercy was led by Antoine Davis with 24 points and six assists and Justin Miller also tallied a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards.
  • All nine Wright State players that saw action scored at least four points.
IUPUI 93, Green Bay 78
  • The Jags picked up their first #HLMBB win of the season scoring a season-high 93 points.
  • Jaylen Minnett netted a career-high 31 points on six 3-pointers and added six assists, while Marcus Burk tallied 27 points and Elyjah Goss recorded another double-double with 13 points and 17 boards.
  • Green Bay’s PJ Pipes hit six triples to lead the Phoenix with 18 points.
  • IUPUI hit a season-high 14 3-pointers as a team and at a 50 percent clip.
Milwaukee 64, UIC 62
  • Milwaukee got back to .500 in #HLMBB play on a buzzer beater as Te’Jon Lucas made a lay-up as time expired.
  • Lucas and Darius Roy led the way for the Panthers with 19 points each.
  • UIC’s Tarkus Ferguson scored 19 points with five assists and five rebounds, while Braelen Bridges recorded 14 points and nine boards.
  • MKE held a 40-32 advantage in rebounds.
Northern Kentucky 75, Oakland 64
  • Northern Kentucky stop a two-game skid as five players scored in double figures led by Bryson Langdon with 21 points with four 3-pointers and Trevon Faulkner added 12.
  • Oakland’s Xavier Hill-Mais scored a game-high 17 points with eight rebounds.
  • The game was tied at 50-50 late in the second half until the Norse went on a 9-0 run over the next 2:47 to take control of the game.
  • NKU is now 6-0 this this season when shooting 50 percent or better from the floor.

HORIZON LEAGUE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2020 Horizon League Basketball Championships will begin March 3 and 5 at campus sites and eight teams – four men and four women – will look to advance to Indianapolis and #REACHtheHORIZON on March 9-10 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum.

Every game of the tournament will be carried on ESPN networks and four of the six games in Indianapolis will appear on national television.
