INDIANAPOLIS – #HLWBB week three started on Thursday night with IUPUI and Wright State improving to 4-1 in League play while Oakland and Milwaukee both picked up their second victories.

Oakland 93, Green Bay 88
  • Oakland improved to 2-2 in League play on Thursday night, defeating Green Bay, 93-88.
  • The Golden Grizzlies posted 23 points off turnovers in the home win.
  • Kahlaijah Dean scored 27 points for Oakland, while Jalisha Terry added 25 points, and Autumn Kissman posted a double-double (19 points, 11 rebounds).
  • Frankie Wurtz was the leading scorer for the Phoenix, posting 25 points and adding five rebounds.
IUPUI 89, Northern Kentucky 61
  • IUPUI (4-1) remained tied atop the #HLWBB standings with an 89-61 home victory over Northern Kentucky on Thursday night.
  • The Jags were shot 50 percent from three-point range (7-14), while also scoring 50 points in the paint in an impressive offensive output.
  • Rachel McLimore led the Jags with 26 points while reigning Nike #HLWBB Player of the Week Macee Williams scored 18 points and pulled down 9 rebounds.
  • Ivy Turner and Grayson Rose scored 12 points each for the Norse.
Milwaukee 63, Detroit Mercy 48
  • Milwaukee earned its second League win on Thursday on the road, topping Detroit Mercy, 63-48.
  • The Panther bench totaled 22 points in the victory, outscoring the Titan bench by 18 points.
  • Lizzie Odegard paced the MKE offense with 14 points as Brandi Bisping added 13 points, and Emma Wittmershaus contributed 14 rebounds.
  • Zoey Oatis led the Titans on Thursday, posting a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds.
Wright State 58, UIC 43
  • Wright State earned a 58-43 road triumph at UIC on Thursday to stay tied atop the League standings at 4-1.
  • WSU totaled 52 rebounds, scoring 19 second chance points in the victory.
  • Nike #HLWBB Freshman of the Week Jada Roberson led the Raiders with 16 points off the bench and Angel Baker added 12 points for WSU.
  • Jada Nneji led the Flames with 19 points and 10 rebounds in the defeat.

HORIZON LEAGUE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2020 Horizon League Basketball Championships will begin March 3 and 5 at campus sites and eight teams – four men and four women – will look to advance to Indianapolis and #REACHtheHORIZON on March 9-10 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum.

Every game of the tournament will be carried on ESPN networks and four of the six games in Indianapolis will appear on national television.
