INDIANAPOLIS – Week two of #HLWBB play came to a close on Sunday as IUPUI, Milwaukee and NKU each completed weekend sweeps to improve to 4-0 while Detroit Mercy and Wright State earned victories to split their weekend matchups.

NKU 80, Purdue Fort Wayne 63
  • Northern Kentucky picked up its fourth League victory on Sunday, topping Purdue Fort Wayne 80-63 on the road.
  • The Norse totaled 48 points in the paint, shooting 56.4 percent overall and holding the Mastodons to 29 percent shooting from the floor.
  • Grayson Rose led NKU in scoring and rebounding with 23 points and 8 boards while Lindsey Duvall added 20 points and six rebounds and Ally Niece posted 13 points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Norse
  • Riley Ott paced the Mastodons with 20 points in the loss.
Detroit Mercy 72, UIC 58
  • Detroit Mercy earned its first League win and forced a weekend split with UIC on Sunday, besting the Flames 72-58 in Chicago.
  • Five Titans scored in double figures, including Bridgid Fox who recorded a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
  • Detroit Mercy led by just two points after the first quarter but stretched the lead to eight at the half and outscored the Flames by 12 in the third quarter to extend the lead and secure the victory.
  • Kristian Young and Keona Schneck led the Flames with 11 points each.
Milwaukee 56, RMU 37
  • Milwaukee is now 4-0 in League play after completing the weekend sweep over RMU with a 56-37 victory on Sunday afternoon.
  • The Panther defense held the Colonials to 23.1 percent shooting from the floor in the contest.
  • Brandi Bisping posted 14 points and eight rebounds for the Panthers and Megan Walstad added 13 points and nine rebounds.
  • Nina Augustin led RMU with eight points in the loss.
IUPUI 72, Cleveland State 52
  • IUPUI moved to 4-0 in #HLWBB play following a 72-52 home triumph over Cleveland State on Sunday.
  • The Jaguars had a quick start, leading 22-4 after the first quarter and never trailing in the contest.
  • Macee Williams scored 14 points and added nine rebounds while three other IUPUI players scored in double figures.
  • CSU’s Mariah White scored a game-high 19 points for the Vikings.
Wright State 74, Oakland 49
  • Wright State improved to 3-1 in League play with a 74-49 win over Oakland on Sunday at the Nutter Center.
  • WSU won the rebounding battle 51-30 and also held the Golden Grizzlies to just 3-20 from beyond the arc and 31.6 percent shooting overall to split the weekend with Oakland.
  • Jada Roberson posted a double-double for the Raiders with 18 points and 13 rebounds while Angel Baker added 12 points and Emani Jefferson scored 11.
  • Kahlaijah Dean scored 17 points to lead the Golden Grizzlies.
