INDIANAPOLIS – Sunday marked the final games of 2020 in the HL schedule with Cleveland State, Wright State and Oakland each picking up weekend sweeps, while Purdue Fort Wayne secured its first-ever #HLMBB win.

Cleveland State 81, Youngstown State 74
  • Cleveland State improved to 4-0 on the season with a comeback victory as they trailed by as many as 14 in the second half.
  • Tre Gomillion led the Vikings with 23 points on 11-of-12 shooting, while Torrey Patton scored 19 points and D’Moi Hodge added 14.
  • Youngstown State finished with four players in double figures with Garrett Covington leading the charge with a game-high 24.
  • The win marks the best start for CSU since beginning League play 4-0 in 2010-11.  
Wright State 90, Green Bay 77
  • Wright State ran its unbeaten streak to six games and improved to 4-0 in HL play with the home win.
  • All six WSU player that scored finished in double figures led by Jaylon Hall who recorded a new career-high with 22 points and Tanner Holder registered 19 points and eight boards.
  • Green Bay’s Amari Davis was on fire all game long registering a new career-best of 35 points on 14 made field goals.
  • The Raiders have now scored 85 or more points in three out of four League games this season.
Oakland 83, Detroit Mercy 80
  • For the second-straight day, Oakland earned a dramatic win over its Metro Series rival as Rashad Williams hit a 3-pointer in the corner with 1.4 seconds in regulation to secure the win.
  • The Golden Grizzlies were led by Jalen Moore with 23 points and seven assists, while Zion Young scored 19 points off the bench and Williams contributed 18.
  • Noah Waterman led the Titans in just his second game with the squad with 19 points and Antoine Davis added 18 points with four 3-pointers.
  • Oakland extended its winning streak over Detroit Mercy to nine games with the win.  
Purdue Fort Wayne 87, RMU 82
  • Purdue Fort Wayne picked up its first-ever win in Horizon League play with a split of fellow HL-newcomer RMU at home
  • Jarred Godfrey was again paced the Mastodons with 29 points on 9-of-11 shooting, 10 rebounds, five assists and five steals. He remains the only HL player to score 20 or more points each of his first four HL games this season. Bobby Planutis chipped in 13 on four 3-pointers.
  • RMU was led by AJ Bramah who finished with 23 points for his second consecutive 20-point effort and Jon Williams finished with 16 points on four triples and five assists. The Colonials trailed by as many as 24 in the second half and cut the lead to four but could not get any closer.
  • The Mastodons shot 64.2 percent from the field including 64.7 percent from 3-point range.
