INDIANAPOLIS – Saturday’s #HLMBB games saw Green Bay jump to a tie for third place in the standings after a victory over in-state rival Milwaukee paired with an Oakland home win over Youngstown State, while Cleveland State earned its first overtime win of the season.

  • In a back-and-forth affair, Cleveland State earned the series sweep of the Titans as the Vikings held a 15-point lead at halftime before Detroit Mercy forced overtime.
  • Five CSU players scored in double figures led by Algevon Eichelberger with 17 points and Deante Johnson with 15 points and eight rebounds.
  • Detroit Mercy was led by Marquis Moore with 20 points and Antoine Davis with 17, despite having his streak of 55 games of making a 3-pointer come to an end. Chris Brandon also grabbed 17 rebounds.
  • CSU improved to 6-8 during HL play, while Detroit Mercy fell to 4-10.
Oakland 72, Youngstown State 64
  • Oakland and Youngstown State split the season series with the home teams prevailing as YSU falls to 8-6 and the Golden Grizzlies improve to 5-9.
  • Xavier Hill-Mais tallied his seventh double-double of the year with 20 points and 11 boards. Rashad Williams added 17 points on four 3-pointers.
  • YSU’s Devin Morgan registered a team-high 20 points and Naz Bohannon recorded his fifth double-double during #HLMBB play with 11 points and 11 boards.
  • Oakland earned a weekend sweep at home and won consecutive games for the first time since Nov. 9-10.
Green Bay 94, Milwaukee 90
  • Green Bay earned a series split with its in-state rival with a win and is now in a tie for third place in the #HLMBB standings.
  • Three GB players scored 20 points or more led by Amari Davis with 28 on 11-of-15 shooting, followed by JayQuan McCloud with 26 and Kam Hankerson with 20 including the game-winner with less than 20 seconds remaining in regulation.
  • Five Milwaukee players scored in double figures including DeAndre Abram, Te’Jon Lucas and Darius Roy each totaling 20 points.
  • The Phoenix shot 56.9 percent from the field, including 64.4 percent from inside the 3-point line.
