INDIANAPOLIS – Youngstown State, Northern Kentucky and Wright State all defended their home courts with wins on Saturday afternoon as week eight of #HLWBB play continued.

Youngstown State 84, Cleveland State 72
- Youngstown State earned an 84-72 win over Cleveland State on Saturday at the Beeghly Center.
- The Penguins trailed by four points after the first quarter but posted advantages in each of the next three periods to clinch the victory.
- It was a very balanced offensive attack by YSU as five players scored in double figures. McKenah Peters led the way with 18 points.
- Mariah White led all players with 33 points in the defeat.
Northern Kentucky 65, IUPUI 62
- Northern Kentucky earned a 65-62 win over IUPUI on Saturday, snapping the Jaguars’ 13-game winning streak.
- The second quarter was key to the victory for the Norse as they scored 22, holding the Jags to five points in the frame. IUPUI chipped away at the lead in the second half, but was unable to overcome the 12-point halftime deficit.
- Five NKU players scored 10 or more points as Ivy Turner led the Norse with 12 points.
- 22 points from Macee Williams paced the IUPUI offense.
Wright State 79, UIC 55
- Wright State improved to 10-5 in League play with a 79-55 home victory over UIC.
- The Raiders totaled 40 points in the paint in the contest while scoring 24 points off turnovers.
- Angel Baker led WSU with 15 points while four other Raiders posted double figure scoring efforts.
- Tiana Jackson and Kimiera Burks each scored 13 points to lead the Flames.

HORIZON LEAGUE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2020 Horizon League Basketball Championships will begin March 3 and 5 at campus sites and eight teams – four men and four women – will look to advance to Indianapolis and #REACHtheHORIZON on March 9-10 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum.
Every game of the tournament will be carried on ESPN networks and four of the six games in Indianapolis will appear on national television.
