INDIANAPOLIS – Week nine of #HLWBB play opened up on Thursday night with Wright State earning a home win over Northern Kentucky to take over sole possession of second place in the standings. With Thursday's result, IUPUI has clinched a top-two seed and will play in Indianapolis on March 9 in the #HLWBB semifinals.

  • Wright State picked up a key win on Thursday night, completing the regular season sweep of the Norse with a 79-69 win at the Nutter Center.
  • The Raiders shot 50 percent from the floor, posting 29 points in the fourth quarter to secure the victory and take sole possession of second place in the standings with two games to play.
  • Angel Baker totaled 29 points for WSU, including 21 in the second half. Michal Miller added 16 points while Alexis Stover and Shamarre Hale added 11 points each for the Raiders.
  • Ally Niece led the Norse with 21 points and five rebounds as Emmy Souder tallied 13 points and Taylor Clos added 14 points for NKU.

HORIZON LEAGUE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2020 Horizon League Basketball Championships will begin March 3 and 5 at campus sites and eight teams – four men and four women – will look to advance to Indianapolis and #REACHtheHORIZON on March 9-10 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum.

Every game of the tournament will be carried on ESPN networks and four of the six games in Indianapolis will appear on national television.
