Nike® #HLMBB Players of the Week (February 3)
INDIANAPOLIS – Oakland’s Rashad Williams posted a career-high 37 points, including seven triples, in the Golden Grizzlies’ victory over Detroit Mercy on Friday to earn Nike® #HLMBB Player of the Week. Green Bay’s Amari Davis averaged 19 points a game to pick up his seventh Nike® #HLMBB Freshman of the Week honor and help the Phoenix to win over Wright State.

Rashad Williams led all scorers with 37 points on Friday, January 31, as the Golden Grizzlies snapped a four-game skid with a 77-64 victory at Detroit Mercy. Williams' career-high mark powered Oakland to a program-best seventh-straight win over the Titans. The effort was the Detroit native's first 20+ point performance since January 26, 2019. Williams' seven triples matched his career high originally set on Dec. 16, 2018 at Illinois State. He finished 14-of-15 from the foul line en route to becoming the first Golden Grizzly to score 30 or more points since Brechting put up 32 against Youngstown State in the O'rena on Feb. 1, 2019.
#HLMBB Freshman of the Week
Amari Davis | Green Bay | Freshman | Guard | Trotwood, Ohio
The left-handed freshman Amari Davis was the catalyst to Green Bay’s upset win over league-leading Wright State, pouring in a game-high 24 points on a scorching 8-for-11 shooting performance. Davis his 8-of-10 free throw attempts against the Raiders, two days after leading the team with 14 points in a home defeat against Northern Kentucky. On the weekend, Davis finished 14-for-27 from the field and averaged 19.0 PPG and 4.5 RPG. Davis is tied for the team lead in scoring with JayQuan McCloud, both averaging 16.0 PPG. He now has four games in Horizon League play this season with 20 points or more and seven games in double-figures.
