Nike #HLWBB Players of the Week (February 3)
INDIANAPOLIS – After another 2-0 week at home, helping the Jags extend their win streak to 10 games, IUPUI’s Macee Williams earned her fourth Nike® #HLWBB Player of the Week award. The junior posted 20.5 points and 11 rebounds as IUPUI increased its lead in the League standings to three games. Oakland freshman Alona Blackwell picked up her first Nike® #HLWBB Freshman of the Week honor following a 14-point performance for the Golden Grizzlies in a win over Detroit Mercy.

Williams was a force for IUPUI, averaging 20.5 points and 11 rebounds in the Jags two wins as IUPUI pushed its winning streak to 10. In the win over Cleveland State, Williams led the Jags with 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds, while dishing out three assists. Williams then posted a 25-point, 15-rebound game against Youngstown State. The junior also chipped in two steals and a block on the week.

Blackwell posted 14 points going 5-for-9 from the field and 3-for-5 from 3-point range helping Oakland rally to a 65-60 come from behind Metro Series win over arch-rival Detroit Mercy which marked the sixth consecutive victory over the Titans.
