INDIANAPOLIS - Week 7 of #HLMBB play started with an early morning tip-off in Indianapolis where Green Bay defeated IUPUI for the first time since the Jags joined the Horizon League. Northern Kentucky, Wright State and Milwaukee each picked up wins on Thursday evening.

Green Bay 91, IUPUI 85
  • Green Bay snapped IUPUI’s six game win streak against the Phoenix, picking up the win on the road in Indianapolis.
  • Amari Davis, the seven-time Freshman of the Week, led the from the floor with 22 points. JayQuan McCloud (20), Kameron Hankerson (18), Cody Schwartz (13) and PJ Pipes (10) each also scored in double digits.
  • IUPUI was led by Marcus Burk who scored 33 while Jaylen Minnett scored a career-high 32 points, including his 1,000th career point.
  • Green Bay shot 91.7% from the free throw line, going 22-24.
 
Northern Kentucky 73, Oakland 70
  • Northern Kentucky narrowly edged out Oakland with free throws from Trevon Faulkner to reach 9-3 in #HLMBB play.
  • Dantez Walton led the Norse in scoring with 23 points, shooting 9-of-19 from the floor and 5-of-11 from behind the 3-point line. Trevon Faulkner (21) and Tyler Sharp (15) also scored in double digits.
  • Rashad Williams scored a game-high 34 points for the Golden Grizzlies. Xavier Hill-Mais put up a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Brad Brechting rounded out the Golden Grizzlies' double-digit scorers with 10 points.
  • The Norse shot 15-for-31 in the second half.
 
Wright State 98, Detroit Mercy 86
  • Wright State earned their 20th win this season after shooting 50 percent from behind the arc.
  • Bill Wampler led the Raiders with 25 points, going 5-for-6 from deep and snagging five rebounds. Four other players were in double digits with Cole Gentry (19), Jaylon Hall (15), Loudon Love (15) and Tanner Holden scoring 10.
  • Antoine Davis was the highest scorer of the evening with 28 points. Dwayne Rose Jr. scored 20 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
  • The Titans shot 13-for-14 from the free throw line.
 
Milwaukee 74, UIC 57
  • Milwaukee stunned UIC at home by 17 points, putting both teams at 6-6 in League play.
  • Darius Roy led the Panthers with 18 points, while Te’Jon Lucas and Josh Thomas each put up an additional 15 points.
  • Tarkus Ferguson was the top shooter for the Flames, scoring 15. Michael Diggins was the other to score in double digits, putting up 11 points.
  • The Panthers shot 50 percent from the floor, going 27-for-54.
