Horizon League Lands Six on NABC All-District Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced on Monday that Antoine Davis of Detroit Mercy and Loudon Love of Wright State were named to the All-District 12 First Team, while Wright State head coach Scott Nagy was named the District 12 Coach of the Year, as selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC in NCAA Division I.

In addition, Northern Kentucky’s Tyler Sharpe, Wright State’s Bill Wampler and Youngstown State’s Darius Quisenberry were named to the All-District 12 Second Team.

Love, the Horizon League Player of the Year, finished Horizon League play averaging a double-double ranking sixth in scoring at 17.8 points per game, while also finishing third in rebounds at 10.2 per game. The junior also ranked sixth during #HLMBB play shooting 47.5 percent from the floor and also got it done defensively tied for first at 1.78 blocks per game.

Davis, last year’s Freshman of the Year and an All-League First Team honoree this season, ended the 2019-20 season as the Horizon League’s leading scorer and finished the season ranked fourth in the nation at 24.3 points per game, while also ranking top-10 in the country in 3-pointers made per game and free-throw percentage.

Nagy was named the Horizon League Co-Coach of the Year as he helped the Raiders finish the season with a 15-3 mark in Horizon League play to claim the outright regular season championship and the No. 1 seed at the Horizon League Men’s Basketball Championship for the second-straight season. Nagy became the first coach in Horizon League history to be named the Horizon League Coach of the Year three straight times.

Quisenberry earned All-Horizon League First Team honors after scoring 18.2 points in HL play and finished fourth in assists. Sharpe and Wampler were each named to the All-Horizon League Second Team as Sharpe 15.1 points and 2.44 3-pointers per game, while Wampler recorded 15.6 points per game and 2.39 triples per contest.
