INDIANAPOLIS – Purdue Fort Wayne’s Jarred Godfrey averaged 28.5 points and shot 60 percent from 3-point range, while almost setting a new program record with 41 points in a game to earn Nike® #HLMBB Player of the Week, while Northern Kentucky’s Marques Warrick claims his fourth Nike® #HLMBB Freshman of the Week honors of the season after averaging 16 points and posting his third 20-point performance in the last four games as the Horizon League announced its men’s basketball weekly awards on Monday.

#HLMBB Player of the Week
Jarred Godfrey | Purdue Fort Wayne | Junior | Guard | Atlanta, Ga.
Godfrey averaged 28.5 points, shot 54 percent from the field, including 60 percent from long range, and grabbed 6.5 rebounds per game to lead the Mastodons to its first series sweep of the #HLMBB season. The junior began the week with an impressive 41-point, nine-rebound performance in overtime for just the second 40-point game during HL play this season. The 41 points were the second most in a game in the D1 era for Purdue Fort Wayne and the most by a Mastodon player in the Gates Sports Center in program history. Godfrey was the most clutch down the stretch with eight of his 41 coming in overtime. He followed that performance with a team-high 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting as Purdue Fort Wayne won by 33 points, the largest margin of victory against a League opponent since 2014. For the week, Godfrey finished first in the HL in scoring, fourth in 3-point field-goal percentage, seventh in field-goal percentage and top-15 in rebounds and assists.

#HLMBB Freshman of the Week
Marques Warrick | Northern Kentucky | Freshman | Forward | Lexington, Ky.
Warrick produced his third 20-point scoring performance in the last four games and averaged 16 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game on the road over the weekend to lead the Norse. Warrick poured in a new career-high 25 points on 8-of-15 shooting and added four boards in the second game of the road trip against Horizon League-leading Cleveland State. He played 40 of the 45 possible minutes of the overtime contest and added four rebounds and a steal. Warrick is now top-10 during Horizon League play in scoring averaging 17 points per game. He is also now tied for the seventh most Freshman of the Week honors in Horizon League history.
