Nike #HLMBB Players of the Week (January 18)
INDIANAPOLIS – Oakland’s Jalen Moore averaged a double-double with 24.5 points and 13.0 assists per game including a 31-point, 12-assist performance to help the Golden Grizzlies to a series sweep at home to earn Nike® #HLMBB Player of the Week, while Youngstown State’s Myles Hunter posted back-to-back 18-point efforts and shot 51.9 percent from the field and 53.3 percent from 3-point range at claim Nike® #HLMBB Freshman of the Week as the Horizon League announced its men’s basketball weekly awards on Monday.

Jalen Moore | Oakland | Junior | Guard | Cloverdale, Ind.
Moore put up consecutive double-doubles en route to averaging 24.5 points, 13.0 assists, and 3.5 steals in Oakland’s weekend sweep over Youngstown State. The junior transfer started the series by totaling 18 points on just nine shot attempts, along with a career-high 14 assists and three steals. The 14 assists are tied for the most by a HL player this season. Moore continued his strong play into the next game, as he scored a game-high 31 points and notched 12 assists and four steals. It marked his second 30-point performance of the season. The native of Cloverdale, Ind. scored 16 of his 19 second-half points in the final seven minutes of the period. For the week, Moore reached the free-throw line a series-high 21 times and converted on 18 of his attempts and committed a mere six turnovers compared to 26 assists on the weekend.
#HLMBB Freshman of the Week
Myles Hunter | Youngstown State | Freshman | Guard | Charlotte, N.C.
Hunter averaged 18 points and 2.5 rebounds per game, while shoot 51.9 percent (14-for-27) from the field and 53.3 percent (8-for-15) from 3-point range for Youngstown State over the weekend. Hunter scored a career-high 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting with a career-best four 3-pointers in the Penguins first game at Oakland. He matched his career high with 18 points and another four 3s in game two against the Golden Grizzlies as he led the Penguins in scoring in both games.
