INDIANAPOLIS – #HLWBB week six wrapped up on Saturday with Milwaukee winning a double-overtime thriller to remain undefeated in League play, Oakland, RMU and Youngstown State completing weekend sweeps and Cleveland State picking up a win over Green Bay to split the series.

Cleveland State 60, Green Bay 48
  • Cleveland State earned its third League victory on Saturday, taking down Green Bay, 60-48, to split the weekend series with the Phoenix.
  • The Vikings trailed 30-23 at the halftime but CSU shot nearly 53 percent in the third quarter and outscored GB 24-9 in the frame to take the lead.
  • Destiny Leo led the Vikings with 15 points while Isabelle Gradwell scored 13 points and Nadia Dumas added 11 points.
  • Caitlyn Hibner posted 14 points and nine rebounds for the Phoenix.
RMU 68, Wright State 65
  • RMU completed the weekend sweep over Wright State with a 68-65 win on Saturday afternoon.
  • The Colonials scored 21 points off 18 WSU turnovers, including eight points in the final quarter.
  • Sol Castro posted a 20-point effort to lead the Colonials in scoring while Nina Augustin scored 12 points, all in the second half to help secure the win.
  • Channing Chappell scored 22 points off the bench to lead the Raiders.
Oakland 73, Purdue Fort Wayne 61
  • Oakland picked up a 73-61 home win over Purdue Fort Wayne on Saturday, improving to 8-4 in League play.
  • The Oakland offense put up 27 points in the fourth quarter to secure a fourth straight victory.
  • Kahlaijah Dean led the Golden Grizzlies with 21 points, 12 assists and seven rebounds.
  • Riley Ott, Hannah Hess and Shayla Sellers all scored in double figures for the Mastodons.
Youngstown State 71, UIC 55
  • Youngstown State improved to 5-3 in #HLWBB play with a 71-55 win over UIC, sweeping the Flames for the second consecutive weekend.
  • In another close battle between the two teams, the third quarter proved to be a difference maker. The Penguins outscored the Flames 23-12 in that frame to help secure a fifth straight victory.
  • Freshman Nneka Obiazor had another strong outing for YSU, totaling 20 points and 13 rebounds while three other Penguins scored in double figures.
  • Kristian Young scored 15 points to lead the Flames.
Milwaukee 85, IUPUI 83 (2OT)
  • Milwaukee earned its 12th straight victory and moved to 12-0 in League play with an 85-83 double overtime win over IUPUI on Saturday night.
  • A layup by Megan Walstad and a jumper by Bre Cera, along with some key free throws, helped MKE take the win in the second extra period.
  • Walstad had another big game for the Panthers, totaling 23 points and 11 rebounds while three other MKE players scored in double figures.
  • IUPUI’s Rachel McLimore totaled 30 points in the contest and Macee Williams added a double-double with 22 points and 13 rebounds.
