INDIANAPOLIS – Week 4 of the #HLMBB season came to a close on Saturday with Cleveland State remaining unbeaten at 8-0, while Milwaukee, Green Bay and Purdue Fort Wayne earned series sweeps and Wright State recorded a win to split its weekend’s games.

GAME RECAPS
Milwaukee 71, IUPUI 63
- The Panthers earned their second series sweep of the season, but first at home to improve to 4-1 in HL play.
- Te’Jon Lucas scored a team-high 15 points and added four assists for Milwaukee and Josh Thomas contributed 14 points with seven rebounds.
- IUPUI’s Jaylen Minnett finished with a game-high 24 points including four 3-pointers, while Elyjah Goss registered a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
- Milwaukee shot 56 percent (29-52) from the floor and outscored IUPUI, 34-16, in the paint.
Wright State 93, Youngstown State 55
- Wright State salvaged a weekend split with in-state rival Youngstown State and stopped a two-game skid to improve to 6-2 in League play.
- Six WSU players finished in double figures led by Tanner Holden with 24 points on 10-of-16 shooting and grabbed 10 rebounds. Loudon Love shot 7-for-8 from the field to finish with 15 points.
- YSU’s Alex Vargo collected a team-high 16 points and Myles Hunter ended the game with 13.
- The Raiders won the rebounding battle 51-29 and shot 52 percent from the field including 61 percent in the second half.
Purdue Fort Wayne 88, UIC 55
- Purdue Fort Wayne claimed its first weekend sweep of the #HLMBB season and has now won back-to-back games for the first time this season.
- The Mastodons were led by Jarred Godfrey with 16 points as four players finished with double-digit points including Deonte Billups who went 5-for-6 from 3-point range.
- UIC’s Michael Diggins scored a season-high 23 points on 10-of-15 shooting with three triples.
- Purdue Fort Wayne forced 21 turnovers in the win to claim its largest win over a League opponent since 2014.
Green Bay 87, Oakland 78
- The Phoenix increased their winning streak to three games after claiming the weekend streak of the Golden Grizzlies at home.
- Green Bay had two outstanding performances led by Amari Davis with 25 points including six rebounds, while Josh Jefferson followed yesterday’s career night with 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting.
- All five starters for Oakland finished in double figures as Rashad Williams registered 20 points with six 3-pointers and Jalen Moore tallied his third double-double during League play with 15 points and 11 assists.
- GB trailed by as many as 12 points early in the second half but were able to take control of the game thanks to a 22-3 run capped off by a Davis triple with 9:24 left in regulation.
Cleveland State 74, Northern Kentucky 71 (OT)
- With the win, Cleveland State is off to its best-ever start in Horizon League play as the Vikings are now 8-0. The eight-game winning streak is now the longest for CSU since the 2010-11 seasons when it won 12 straight.
- Torrey Patton recorded a double-double with a team-best 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Vikings and Alec Oglesby scored 17 points off the bench with five 3-pointers.
- Northern Kentucky’s Marques Warrick finished with a game-high 25 points and Trevon Faulkner added 16 points and six rebounds.
- Cleveland State forced 19 turnovers and converted them into 21 points while also holding a 29-14 advantage in points off the bench.
