Nike #HLWBB Players of the Week (November 15)
INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI’s Macee Williams earned Nike® #HLWBB Player of the Week honors while Purdue Fort Wayne’s Ryin Ott picked up the Nike® #HLWBB Freshman of the Week award following the first week of the season. Williams averaged 20 points and seven rebounds as the Jaguars played in a pair of tough road contests, earning a win at Bowling Green on Sunday. Ott scored 16 points in her collegiate debut for the Mastodons.

Macee Williams averaged 20.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals, 2.5 blocked shots and 2.0 assists per game in the Jaguars’ first two contests of the year. Williams shot 56.3 percent from the floor (18-of-32) in the two games combined. The graduate student had 17 points (7-13 FG, 1-3 3’s, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds, four steals and three assists as the Jaguars lost at No. 11 Michigan in overtime in the season opener, 67-62 then followed with 23 points (11-19 FG), seven rebounds, three blocked shots and two steals as IUPUI went on the road and beat Bowling Green, 71-60, as the Falcons were ranked No. 19 in the first Mid-Major Top 25 of the season.

In the first game of her career, Ryin Ott scored 16 points in Purdue Fort Wayne's 102-35 win over Manchester, which was the largest margin of victory by a Mastodon team since 1995. Ott was 7-of-12 (58.3 percent) from the floor and 2-of-4 (50 percent) from 3-point range. She grabbed six rebounds, the second-most of the game. She dished out two assists without a turnover, blocked one shot and recorded three steals. Of the teams that competed in opening day, Ott led the Mastodons to the best assist-to-turnover ratio in the country of 5.40. She had two of the team's 27 assists, which was ninth-best in the country.
